Biographical and Professional Information

Alice Antilla and Jacob Antilla were married in 1934 and had a homestead in the Dempsey Basin, a tributary of the Hamsfork River. Many years later, they became interested in researching the history of that region. Their booklet, "History of the Upper Hamsfork Valley," includes maps of all the homesteads in the Hamsfork Valley, which extends forty miles north of Kemmerer to the head of the river. Also included is an account of the Dempsey Cutoff and the Fort Bridger route, as well as dates of all filings of the homesteads, emigrant journals, and stories of each family in the Valley.
